Live Online Evening Yin Yoga

Over these 5 sessions we will be journeying through the 5 elements we can experience and nourish through our 5 Traditional Chinese Medicine methodology of Yin Yoga. Each element will connect us to a different area of the body and help us to remove physical, mental and spiritual blockages to help you feel calm grounded and balanced.

Yin Yoga is a beautiful practice which invites you to really slow down and begin to make space in both the mind and the body. Something SO needed in our busy lives.

The entirety of this practice will be seated and lying down on your yoga mat so it is very much an open levels class.

It is intended to be relaxing but that does not necessarily mean easy. You might find the challenge more within in the mind - resisting this stillness or the body wanting to move. The purpose of this practice is to feel and hear these nudges / distractions and to use to the breath and mind to not succumb to them, to self soothe. We will hold postures for 3 to 5 minutes so that our muscles can release stored tension and step into a softer way of being. This release creates shifts in the more subtle layers of our being and encourages a more harmonious flow within the body and mind.

We want to create a sanctuary for you for in this moment in time, wherever you are practicing.

So get into your comfies. Find a soft surface. Turn down the lights. Perhaps light a candle. Get a cup of herbal tea. Props are highly encouraged in this practice - a bolster and a block if you have one but if not a pillow / cushion or two will really allow you to romanticise the practice and bring deeper.
