Yin Yoga - Water / Winter (45)

This is a slow, meditative Yin Yoga practice rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and elemental theory. Through long-held postures (3–5 minutes), we work beyond the muscles to gently target the joints and fascia, as well as the deeper layers of self - our energetic and emotional bodies.

Yin Yoga invites us to meet our edge - that place of mild discomfort. Rather than reacting or pushing through, we practice softening, creating space, and surrendering into the moment. This is as much a mental practice as it is a physical one, cultivating spaciousness, inner awareness, and balance where it is most needed.

WATER ELEMENT & THE SEASON OF WINTER

In this Water / Winter practice, we work with the Kidney and Bladder meridians - the organs that govern the water in the body. Water is the most yin and introspective of all the elements, inviting emotional processing, reflection, and deep rest.

The practice will focus on the hamstrings, inner groin, spine, and centre of the chest, encouraging release and quiet introspection.

Expect a grounding, forward folding focused class designed to soothe and rebalance the nervous system.
